ThePoisonPages
ThePoisonPages.net official opened on Opened on October 22, 2007. The domain was one of my birthday presents. However I was preparing for the domain long before I opened it. In late August when my Grandma was staying with us I decided I wanted to buy
a domain and quit the site I was co-owner at (Sweet Sixteen) and start all over. I started making new content in September that
I was going to use when I opened the domain. Most of the original content I made is gone now do to major revamps. My mom and I picked my site name a week before I bought the domain, we got it from the book The Poison Apples by Lily Archer, subsisting Pages for Apples. The site opened as a celebrity graphics/resource site and stayed that way until April of 2008 when I almost completely revamp the site and changed it into a writing/pixel/photography/resource site.
I got into graphic designing in December of 2006. At the time I was using paint and didn't know what a stamp was. In March of
2007 I got Photoshop and learned how to use it. My first site was a neopets petpage called "Vintage Blue." In April I changed the name to Vibrant Fads. The petpage was a pathetic excuse for a site. Towards the end of the page I renamed it Radiant Summer Days. Then I got sick of neopets, it was a pain to not be able to link to outside sites, and only being able to have one page.
I opened a freewebs site called 'Dangerous to Know' this was a complete mess. I was in a guild called Designer Dolls at this time. One of my online friends asked if I would make a layout with her. We made a layout that looked AWESOME. She and I decided that we would make a new site on freewebs together. That site eventually got hosted and I quit to make own site.
The rest is history. Graphic Designing is both an interest for me and a creative outlet. However I know I could never do it on
a professional level because I'm not that good.
